On the Saturday 7th of March, 13 different kōdansha (higher dan grades) gathered for the spring instructors seminar in dojo of Stockholm Södra. It was a full day training for those who have 3rd dan or higher, and the main focus of the day was to share experience and go over different techniques at yūdansha level (black belt level). There was also a theoretical part after lunch where we went through the basics of the competition rules and judging of embu. The plan is that we will have a more formal training of national judges later in the year. In summary it was a day that left all participants happy,  with some question marks straightened out, and several new ideas and ways to practice our techniques to bring home.

On Thursday the 13th of February Shorinji Kempo Karlstad Shibu had a visit from TV4 Värmland (TV4 is a national channel, but also have regional news), which had picked up on the fact that Anders-sensei has been nominated for the Traditional Practitioner of the Year Award at the 2014 Swedish Martial Arts Gala. The clip was aired in the local news the day after. (clip usually have a short advertisement first)
